It is important for us to balance our connection to the local community with an international sensibility. Students are engaged with the local culture and environment through the participation in hands on research, projects and community-wide events. We teach students to care for their natural environment and to understand how it is affected by their daily activities.
We emphasise the importance the 3 R’s of Recycling: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and teach pupils about the core principles of social ecology in an attempt to educate the next generation to build a better more sustainable world and care for our island’s future.
South East Coast International School also supports the local community through sponsorship programs and fundraising to empower local children with international education. Our NGO works closely with our community leaders to understand the needs of our surrounding community and work on various outreach projects which benefit the local population.
